Etched multi-mode fiber cladding

pengcshao

hey,

i would like to create a ‘dent’-like feature on cladding of a multi-mode fiber to leak light out, but my setting like the following with an object of ‘air’ as material does not work. How can we I achieve this?

The nested object rule assigns the material of overlapping regions to be that of the last entry in the editor. So if you want Cylinder 2 to define the dent as air, it needs to follow the two glass cylinders, or at least that of the cladding.
