How to setup/define the slit width?

Dear All,

I am interested in desiging an optical design for an instrument that will have a slit width of 20µm (with a 3mm length). Now, how can this be defined for the system?

Thank you very much.

Hi Naif,

You can directly apply a rectangular aperture defined by the half widths in x and y:

If working in Non-Sequential Mode, you can use a UDA file to create your user defined aperture, and then apply it on a surface. To have more details about the UDA file format, I recommend you have a look at the help files as such: The Setup Tab > Editors Group (Setup Tab) > Lens Data Editor > Surface Properties > Aperture (surface properties) > User Defined Apertures and Obscurations.
