Hello!

I am once again having trouble with my ellipsoidal surfaces in OpticStudio. I have been trying to use the optimization tools to create an ellipsoidal reflector. From a previous post I learned to use the RMS Spot Radius as the criterion for optimization, however, my merit function never converges to a value below 150ish. I have tried manually playing with the conic, radius, and max aper, but I cannot get them to behave as intended. I can attach my file as it is if anyone could please give me some support in my endeavors. I am also curious how the “Max Aper” parameter affects the simulation of the system since it has given me such a headache all of this time.
