Hi all, I am using a paralleloid for non sequential ray tracing. Even through it's not my first time using mixed mode, I have a problem to understand why the rays terminate and do not propagate after the exit port (surafce no. 6). p.s The actual system is much more complicated, so non sequential ray tracing must be used. Thanks, Nadav
Hi all, As a part of collimating system i used mirror to fold the rays. I got a tilted image but I do not found the reason for that. Maybe something in coordinate breaks? Thanks, Nadav
Hi, Got some strange result of ray reflecting from nothing. At the ray trace window it mark this path length as negetive. Moreover, the 3d layout dont allow ray fletch. What went wrong? Thanks, Nadav
Hi, I am optimizing for three configurations of fields with different entrance pupil location . Let's say for example: Fields: config 1 x = 0 , y = 0 x = 0 , y = 5 x = 0 , y = -5 config 2 x = 4 , y = 0 x = 4 , y = 5 x = 4 , y = -5 config 3 x = -4, y = 0 x = -4 , y = 5 x = -4, y = -5 How zemax calculate analsys plots ike mtf map, grid distortion, image simulation for multiple configurations? When choosing configuration in these plot what exactly happen?(see below) Do I need to make new file with all these fields in only one configuration to get meaningful results? Best regards, Nadav
Hi all, In the tolerance wizard the surface irregularity is given by no. of fringes. Some vendors of lens give the surface irregularity in unit of RMS Angstrom. Is there any conversion factor between these two units? If not, is there any other way to overcome this disparnecy? Thanks a lot, Nadav
Hello all, I hope you are all well in the Corona epoch. This is my first post. Let's say I am trying to imaging a sensor of 4.8*6.4 mm with Aspheric doublet (FOV 15.2, EFFL 30). The total Aperture stop is 18*6 mm but for each group of fields(up,center, down) we are intrested in much smaller aperture of 6*6mm(displaced -6,0,6 mm respectively-see attached image). Rays outside ot this smaller aperture don't propagate further into the optical system. 1. I am trying to use the REAY/X operands for this approch by enforing the above rays to arrived to specific smaller aperture. Am i doing it right? 2. Is there a way to use the multi configurations editor, to displace the apreture stop for each group of fields? I try to do it, but when using the 3d viewer, when choosing all configurations, it seem like it can't be done. Attached below the zemax files before and after opitmization and the merit function file. Many thanks, Nadav
Hi all, I am trying to desing an imaging imaging lens for single color, 19:16, microdisplay. Got good enough mtf in both geometric and FFT. However, when using the extended scene analysis>>image simulation, it seems like the mtf is much worse(Checked against the cooke triplet, attched bellow also). I tried to change the sampling in both the pupil, psf etc. but still get blurry image. What am I doing wrong? Many thanks, Nadav EDIT: With only one color at the image simulation it's much better. I assume this is the problem?
