I am new to the Zemax/OpticStudio community and still learning how to use the program.
I was wondering, is there a way to open windows other than ‘Lens Data’ when creating a new file or on startup?

Hi Richard, Yes there is. Do New, then set up the UI the way you want and then save the file as lens.zmx. Alternatively, save it as some other file name and then go to Setup...Project Preferences...General and press the Startup Defaults button:
Choose ‘User Selected System’ and point it to the file you just saved.

Thank you Mark! I found that this only worked for me when i start OpticStudio but not when starting a new file, but I guess it’s better than nothing.

+3Try saving your preferred setup as lens.zmx. Make sure it’s in your default folder. Or just load it whenever you want 😁
