NSC Named Filters Not Working

Forum|alt.badge.img

Attempting to use “Named Filters” feature in NSC OpticStudio 23.1.3, following the directions from the Help System. The feature does not appear to work.

Ex:

Does not filter for Source 144. It does filter, but the filter is random as far as I can tell

However,

Filters for Source 144 correctly

In addition, an extra semicolon appears wherever the cursor left off when I minimize then re-open the Named Filters tab. The bug may be related.

Named filters tab adding semicolon wherever cursor left when minimizing tab.

Thanks!

Your observations are correct. The named filter currently has an open bug associated with it. I would suggest avoiding it until a fix can be implemented.

I can confirm that this does not seem to work with OpticStudio 2023 R1.02.
I tried several filter strings (O, H, R) and compared their working to a corresponding named filter. Whenever I used a named filter in a detector viewer, no hits where displayed in the detector viewer. When the filter string is put directly into the “Filter” field of the detector viewer, it works as expected.
