Optic Studio is not starting

I have installed Optic Studio on my machine with a test licence and I each time a try start OpticStudio it crash silently.

I have try OpticStudio_Prerequisites.exe and reinstalling the Visual C++ redistributables, like suggested in the help pages with no effet.

I now have only 13 days to test the soft. Please help.

Hello!

Another customer found one possible solution recently to this. The problem may have started after a recent Windows update, but we have not been able to isolate it.
 

  1. Right-click on the Zemax icon in the start menu or on the desktop. 
  2. Click Properties to bring up the window shown below (left)
  3. Click Compatibility tab
  4. Run compatibility troubleshooter
  5. Accept fix.
