is there a way to model the position of my source diode in polar coordinates?

As their is no inbuilt function in Zemax which can change the Cartisean to Polar coordinates.
But you can mimic the polar coordinate. By using Tilt functionality we can actually place any object in polar coordinates. I have made small video to explain the process of mimic the Cartesian into polar coordinates. Please refer this video named as Polar Coordinate.
