Hi,

I am currently designing a series of diffractive optics components based on the Binary 2 type object. Looking to export this to a DXF 2D drawing format. Will this export function only produce a drawing of the elements and the optical path or can it be used to output the design of a single optical element, with the line spacing detail?

Cheers,

Hi Craig,

The Binary 2, like most diffractive objects in OpticStudio uses a formula from diffraction physics to determine the effect on the ray. No physical line structure is actually modeled even within OS. You won't see it on any exported shapes either.

Best,
