Image Analysis in k domain (Spatial frequency)

Hello,

I am trying to run simple 4f setup in sequential mode. I want to use two point sources and want to analyze results by changing coherence property of two point sources as following : coherent to each other, partially coherent to each other, and incoherent to each other.

I have following questions :

1. is it possible to run two point sources at once or need to run individually and then sum results coherently or incoherently?

2. if possible, how to set coherence property of two point sources in seq mode?

3. As there is an output under Analyze ->physical optics in space (xy domain), how to get respective field results in k- domain?

Thanks :)

Hi Priya,

Check out the Partially Coherent Image Analysis feature under Analysis...Extended Scene Analysis. Two recommendations:

1. Read the documentation! This is a complex feature

2. There's a good Knowledge Base artlce here.

Don't be afraid to ask for help, this feature is genuinely complex.

Thank you Mark for your reply.

The proposed article is interesting and useful, however I still don't understand how to get results in spatial frequency domain for physical optics analysis.

please suggest.

Hello Priya

We don't have any tools in POP to show the results in spatial frequency. Here are the outputs you can have:

To display the spatial frequencies, there is a free tool called ImageJ  which can be used.
