#Layout Rays vs #Analysis Rays

In 'Zemax\Samples\Non-sequential\Scattering\Bulk Scatter.ZMX', what is the significance of the #Analysis Rays for the source (Object 1)? Is it meaningful or is only #Layout Rays used in the analysis?

Hello Karen,

The # Analysis Rays defines how many random rays are launched from the source when performing analysis.
In contrast, the # Layout Rays defines how many random rays are launched from the source when creating layout plots.

Best,

Csilla

Is there a way to select a new random set of rays from a source ray file?
I’m modeling an LED and all the rays that were selected are nearly collimated, giving very misleading layout.
