"make double pass" with black box file

Does “make double pass” work with black box files? (sequential mode)

I have a microscope objective as a black box file. I want to focus a laser on a mirror using this objective and recollect the light using the same objective (black box). After the reflection, all thicknesses are negative. I think this makes a problem for the black box file.

Thanks,

Stephan

You’ll need a second black-box file with the reversed system inside it. Whoever gave you the black box should be able to generate this, assuming they are willing. The whole idea of the black box is to limit what you can do with it to just ray-in, ray-out modeling.

Similarly, you’ll need different black box files if you want to do thermal analysis. You’ll need one for each T,P pair.
