Exit port

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi all,

I am using a paralleloid for non sequential ray tracing.

Even through it's not my first time using mixed mode, I have a problem to understand why the rays terminate and do not propagate

after the exit port (surafce no. 6).

p.s

The actual system is much more complicated, so non sequential ray tracing must be used.

Thanks,

Nadav

Hi Nadav,

It looks like you have a very small Clear Semidiameter for your exit port, but with a larger surface aperture. For exit ports, the semi-diameter determines the port diameter, though you can use the surface aperture to further constrict and shape the port. If you expand your semi-diameter to something large like 100, you seem to be fine.

Best,

Kevin
