Uploading my .bmp file for image simulation


Is it possible to upload my own .bmp file for image Simulation analysis? IF so where in the directory structure must i save the .bmp file so that it is vissible in the Image simulation pulldown menu?

Hi Denis,

Yes, it is possible to use your own BMP file; however, BMP, JPG and PNG files must have more than 1 and no more than 16,000 pixels in each direction. The input files are stored in the folder. This folder is normally located \Zemax\IMAFILES\. You may check the location of your images folder by checking the Folders tab of the Project Preferences:
