Sometimes it is difficult to rememeber how to use a complex file, both in sequential and non sequential modes. My request is to be able to add a comment to each cell of the Zemax spreadsheet, similar to the comments to Microsoft Excel cells. This would help a lot in commenting the file, like comments in a program script. For example, the role of a particular variable or of a pickup could be explained.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will mark submit this request on your behalf. I wonder - have you used the bookmark feature? This allows you to make a note on a particular row in the LDE or NSCE. Here’s what it looks like:

The bookmark is a label for that row. The comment would be associated to a specific cell, and could contain comments on the effect of that particular parameter, explanations about a pick-up, and so on. To me, this would be a completely different use with respect to the row bookmark. It would be analogous to the comments in a piece of code.
