Combine a group of lens to a single lens.

Athul

I was doing a project using non-sequential and we are using a specific lens manufactured by a specific company. But when we contacted them for the Zemax file, They provided a Black body sequential file. Is it possible to make a lens which acts a the same in order to be used in non-sequential (just for analysis purpose).

Hi Athul,

The Black Box lens is currently not supported in Non-Sequential Mode. If you need to use Black Box lenses from your manufacturer, then the analysis will need to be in Sequential Mode. If you need to move to non-sequential, what you can do is trying to approximate the optics with a Paraxial Lens object, an ideal thin lens surface with separate X and Y focal lengths. You can define there the focal length of your lens and size it to be the same as the Entrance Pupil of the Black Box lens.

i was planning to use this lens for calculating the illuminance after an RGB high intensity led reflects off a certain object. Is it possible to achieve this in sequential mode or is it possible to combine nsc with sequential?
