And similar to TiltAboutX, there must be a handle for manipulating the X, Y, and Z positions for an object in the LDE? I’ve been looking in the Syntax help and am unable to find it so far. Thanks,Josh
Thanks Dave, That did work. I created another topic for this under: Matlab/Zemax LDE object manipulation. Any help you could provide there would be much appreciated. Thanks,Josh
Thanks David, as always!Control+Scroll sort of works.. larger, although blurry. Better at least! It’s a Mac running Parallels, and Zemax is running in the Windows side, so Command+Scroll doesn’t do anything. What I’m actually after is how to tilt an object in the Non-sequential Lens Data Editor, from Matlab. The Matlab connection is working (using the NSE Ray Trace example). Thanks,Josh
Worked for me.. ! Thanks for posting.
I’m having the same issue as Joep and am interested in looking at this macro. Whenever I download and extract with any standard zip file utility, it says it’s not an archive. If I change the file extension to .zpl, that also doesn’t work. Any tips?
Thanks again David, big help!
Thanks so much David.. knew it had to be something simple and the thought crossed my mind that it could be something about sequential vs. non-sequential, and didn’t know where to look. Thanks again :)
Hi there, I’m trying to do the same thing, and cannot seem to get either surface in (source or detector) to tilt or decenter about any axis. I’ve used the UPDATE ALL, with no effect! I’m sure it’s something simple.. screen shot attached. Thanks,Josh
Hi David, thanks for your reply. The profile looks correct. The sun occupies an angle of 0.25 degrees in the sky. It’s obviously very, very far away, yet still can cover a 1 m2 square (or any size really) with 1000 Watts/m2 of direct (parallel) beams. I sort of figured it out by making my source as large as the detector. Then all the arrays are parallel beams. Maybe there’s a better way. Now trying to figure out how to model the power correctly...Thanks for your help!Josh
