Webinar details

Date: Thursday, April 21st

Time: 6:00am & 11:00am PDT

Presenter: Lisa Clauson, Senior Product Manager at Ansys Zemax

Abstract:

Join Lisa Clauson, Ansys Zemax Senior Product Manager, as she explores the hidden costs of traditional workflows that bring optical designs to a finished product. Most optical design teams have learned to accept their current workflow inefficiencies as the cost of doing business. Few realize the true costs of maintaining status quo when new technology is available to automate tedious tasks, improve optomechanical packaging, and dramatically streamline the overall optomechanical design workflow.

My company briefly used OpticsBuilder with Solidworks (before that support was ended) and it was quite helpful. Are there any plans support Solidworks again?

Hello @Sue Kras! Thank you for your question and I’m happy to hear that you found OpticsBuilder quite helpful. We regret that Dassault decided to end the partnership agreement and that this negatively affected you, our customer.

OpticsBuilder is available on PTC Creo Parametric which may offer an alternative workflow to regain the product benefits. We are also actively exploring other options to bring this functionality back to you and will reach out should we find a suitable option. Thank you for your continued interest!
