Hi,

I am trying to import a zbf file into Zemax POP, from Lumerical. The wavelength is 1.3 um. However, i get the following warning message in Zemax:

"ZBF Wavelength is 0.874153269861089 microns.

This differs from the Wavelength set in the 'General' Tab.

The ZBF Wavelength is ignored."

Also, when I visualize the file in the zbf file viewer, it displays the correct wavelength.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Zak
Hi,

I think you can find the answer into OpticStudio Help Files:

The Analyze Tab (sequential ui mode) > Laser and Fibers Group > About Physical Optics Propagation > Defining the Initial Beam > File (defining the initial beam)

If the ZBF file is used on a system where the wavelength defined in the System Explorer is different than the value defined in the ZBF file, then the wavelength in the ZBF file is ignored and the beam will be propagated at the wavelength specified in the System Explorer instead. In such cases a warning will be shown in the Beam Definition tab of the Physical Optical Propagation settings.

Would you mind sending the ZBF file to support@zemax.com? We can then contact Lumerical.

Thank you!
