VIPA (Virtually Imaged Phase Array) Model

Can someone point me to a model using a VIPA (Virtually Imaged Phase Array)?  I keep getting tangled up in transitions from pupil to line focus to image, and I think someone must have figured out a better way.  For reference, https://lightmachinery.com/optics/custom-optics/vipas/.

Hey Eric,

It’s not quite clear to me how the VIPA is different to a Fabry-Perot etalon, but etalons are easily modeled using the coatings capability in OpticStudio, in both seq and NS modes. Check the sample files at Documents\Zemax\Samples\Sequential\Polarization for Fabry-Perot examples. If you could clarify the difference between a VIPA and a Fabry-Perot etalon, I’d be grateful :grinning:
