LED .DAT Source File Help

Hello,

I am trying to get the source file data from a Wurth Electronik LED.  I emailed the company and they provided a few files, but no Zemax specific files (.zmx, .zar, etc...).  They named two of their files zemax.dat and they are quite large (>100 mB), and it looks like the rest are CAD files and source files for other software programs.

Here are the LED’s:

Thank you very much for the help.  I’m still getting used to importing source files.  Really appreciate it.

The Wurth *.dat files are non-sequential Source File objects.  The files should be downloaded and then placed in the Documents\Zemax\Objects\Sources\Source Files folder.  A particular file can be selected when inserting the Source File object.  If you pick a very large number for analysis rays, say 1e09, then OpticStudio will provide the max number of available rays in the file.  More detail about the file format can be found in the help documentation.

Regards,

Jeff
