I am making a model for a system that takes an optical fiber as an input. I have now done that by specifying the semi-diameter of the OBJECT surface 0 to represent the fiber core size, setting the system Aperture Type to 'Object Space NA' and specifying the known NA, and selecting the 'Telecentric Object Space'. I hope that's the best way to do that. If not, please let me know.
My question is about how to have this fiber come in and launch its rays into the system at an angle. It is an asymmetric system that will have multiple non-sequential groups in it, which will be much simpler to define if the initial chief ray already has the system's primary angle. I can not tilt the OBJECT surface with the Tilt/Decenter tool. I've tried rotating the whole system, but that seems to still launch the rays horizontally. Inserting a dummy surface with a coordinate break also does not appear to work. Any help would be appreciated.
