FICL Optimization for .5 pitch GRIN lens


Hello, I am trying to optimize fiber coupling efficiency of a .5 pitch GRIN in sequential mode. When optimizing this decentered system, the merit function editor says 'Value 4.02 E-11' while coupling efficiency when read from the fiber coupling analyisis window shows a resulf of .809 or  -.92db.

Can anyone tell me why these numbers are so different? When I use FICL operand to optimize but i do not decenter the lens, the merit function 'value' seems to correspond correctly with the fiber coupling analysis window.
