Hello everyone,

I am trying to simulate the coupling efficiency from a single-mode fiber to a silicon waveguide. I did this in the Physical Optics Propagation (POP) analysis by importing the receiver fiber data file from Lumerial. The calculated coupling efficiency in Zemax is very consistent with Lumerical mode overlap analysis. However, sometimes I need to recenter the imported fiber data file to get the highest coupling efficiency because the waveguide mode profile is usually asymmetric.

I notice that under the 'Fiber data' tag in the POP analysis, I can set the decenter values if the fiber type is 'Gaussian waist'. However, there seems no decenter setting if I choose the fiber type to be 'file'. Same problem for importing fiber file under 'Beam definition'. I am wondering if there is any way I can decenter the imported fiber file? This would be very useful for fiber-to-chip coupling. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!
