Hello! I have run the local optimisation for a while now and my current Merit Function decreased by a value of 10. What does this mean and has it changed my system? If it hasn’t what must I do with this value?

The merit function is always positive, and 0 means that all constraints are satisfied. If the value decreases, it means your system is improving. The magnitude of the value is arbitrary, it depends on the way you have defined it.
