This Matlab code shows the possibility to export optical components by using ZOS-API. In this example Matlab code exporting optical components from Layout of sample file Double Gauss 28 degree field.zmx. The final results exported as 3D figure in Matlab .

Limitations: 

Unable to fetch the rays from the Layout and shaded Model.

You will need modify the Line 32 Path : TheSystem.LoadFile('FilePath\OpticStudioFile', false);
