Hello,

Usually I export my files (some are NSC, some are SEQ) to a STP file with 16 Spline Segments.

We have some issues with the exports from OpticStudio to Solidworks, and I hope some users that encountered similar issues could advise how to tackles them:

  1. When a STP file of an NSC system is opened in Solidworks, sometimes some components may not be opened, what forces us to re-open the file and hope it will work better.
  2. Sometimes the files are exported in “Part” format and sometimes in “Assembly” format. the latter one is problematic since the file holds object in it, that are free to move. How can I control this behavior?
  3. Exported files with rays tends to be big. is there a way to reduce the exported file size? Maybe a way to choose only the outer rays of the beam envelope? maybe a single object that represent the beam envelope?

TIA,

Oran
