Hello,

I saw a post from Sandrine from two years ago that Zemax staff are able to convert .RS8 files to RSMX format.

If you all are still able to do this would you be so kind as to convert this file?

Hi @Michaelkm8,

Unfortunately, we can no longer assist with converting ProSource 8 files to the RSMX format. As of OpticStudio 23.2, the RSMX Libraries and all of its associated features have officially been deprecated. As such, we no longer have the capability to work with ProSource8 files. You can read more about this change in our Community Notes for that release: OpticStudio 23.2 Release Notes | Zemax Community.

My recommendation is to reach out to the vendor that is supplying the source files. If they have Prosource 8 files on their website, it is possible they would be able to assist with converting the files to a different format.

Hi @Michaelkm8,

We are glad to help and still can convert the file for you. I will send a private link to your email where you can download the RSMX file.

Best,
Ethan

Edit as of 10/24/2023: Ansys Zemax is no longer able to offer this capability. Please refer to the below message from @Jordan.Teich for more information.

If you still need this conversion? I can do it over the weekend. Just leave a note.
