I'd like to view my source objects while using the Shaded Model in NSC mode. I prefer the higher detail. Is this possible?

The NSC 3-D Layout viewer is capable of providing a simplified image of source objects, but the Shaded viewer does not support this functionality. Many of the sources specify a ray pattern but not an actual shape, so the Shaded Model cannot provide this option. You should use the 3-D Layout if you need to see the sources explicitly.
