Export non sequential mode file into CAD with solid beam pattern

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there is some way to convert a non sequential mode zemax file into a CAD file
using the solid beam ray pattern instead of a XY fan ray pattern (by default before non sequential mode conversion).
This way, rays would not be lines anymore, but solids, and would be way easier to use in Solidworks.

Thank you!

Best regards,

David.

Hi @DavidR

The solid beam option is only available in sequential.

However I was thinking that there might be some workaround by creating an object that represents the envelope of your beam. For example I created this extension that creates a non-sequential beam using a freeform object for a laser beam (it is still sequential):

So maybe an object could be used in your case?
