Hi all, During tolerancing of some lenses (using the mtf as criteria) I get the “Lens cannot be traced, tolerances may be too loose!”However, opening one of this the monte carlo files it seems like the mtf is bad but larger than zero. What can be the reason for this? Thanks,Nadav
Hi all, I am using a paralleloid for non sequential ray tracing. Even through it's not my first time using mixed mode, I have a problem to understand why the rays terminate and do not propagate after the exit port (surafce no. 6). p.s The actual system is much more complicated, so non sequential ray tracing must be used. Thanks, Nadav
Hi all,Is there a simple way to define a 2D parallelogram source?edit:succeed usuing DAT file, and then import as source file:file1 = open("paraleloid.DAT","w")Nx = 20A = 4B = 12H = 9theta = 30a = A/Nxh = H/(6*Nx)dx = h / np.tan(np.pi*theta/180)Ny = H/hNy = round(Ny)N = Ny*NxL0 = str(N) +" "+str(4)+"\n"file1.writelines(L0)for j in range(Ny): for i in range(Nx): L1 = str(round(i*a+j*dx,2))+" "+str(round(h*j,2))+" "+str(0) +" "+str(0) +" "+str(0) +" "+str(1)+" "+str(1)+"\n" file1.writelines(L1)file1.close() #to change file access modesThanks,Nadav
Hi all, I am trying to desing an imaging imaging lens for single color, 19:16, microdisplay. Got good enough mtf in both geometric and FFT. However, when using the extended scene analysis>>image simulation, it seems like the mtf is much worse(Checked against the cooke triplet, attched bellow also). I tried to change the sampling in both the pupil, psf etc. but still get blurry image. What am I doing wrong? Many thanks, Nadav EDIT: With only one color at the image simulation it's much better. I assume this is the problem?
Hi all, Can coating like beam splitter be defined in mixed mode? I try to define them like in full NS mode but didn't see any effect. Thanks, Nadav
Hi all, I am trying to make a collimating system with folding grating:But I can’t focus the system. What I am missing? Thanks,Nadav
Hi All I had problem when simulating array of beamsplitters(50% and 5% transmission): The output power is 97% on both cases. It's seem like the coating wasn't defined correctly. Attached here the two files with the beam splitter polygon file. Thanks, Nadav
