Hi, all!
I have a question: how is RAY TRACE in NSC realized?
In my impression, RAY TRACE assumes a bundle of rays, which consists of a certain number of analysis rays, e.g. 100 0000, then trace each ray, and record them on the detector. The operation is purely geometry optics (reflection, refraction,...) However, why can it be used to simulate interference, which in fact belongs to the scope of wave optics?
I would highly appreciate any inspiration!
best,
YJ
