Hello,

from an earlier thread I understood, that UDOPs are not supported in the MFE any more.

However today I got this error message:

Note: I am actualy using ZOS-Professional (!) as found by ZOS-API-Commands:

K>> TheApplication.LicenseStatus

ans =

ProfessionalEdition

For reference: the ZOS-Versoin that I am using is:

Hi Ludwig,

We have shut down access to the DDE with the Ansys Zemax version of OpticStudio (The one you are using); So your understanding is correct; it means DDE-related items like the UDOP operand will also cease to function.

Our recommendation would be to convert to your code to the ZOS-API. If you are new to the ZOS-API, take a look at our free set of tutorials here: https://www.zemax.com/blogs/free-tutorials/getting-started-with-zos-api. In addition to that, we also provide a guide for conversion here: Mapping DDE data items to ZOS-API methods
