surface not showing on shaded model but does show on layout view

Hello,

I am trying to model an on-axis reflector telescope with two mirrors.  The second mirror surface shows in the 2D layout window but does not show in the shaded model.  Why the discrepency and how do I fix it?  I am not sure if the reason why the second surface does not show is because after the second surface, the rays go through the first surface (but I haven't figured out how to make a hole in it, yet, so realistically nothing would go through, yet).

Hi Sasha,

I see both mirrors in all the viewers:

In sequential mode, each ray strikes each surface in the order given. Strictly speaking, you don't need a hole in the first mirror for rays to pass through because after a ray strikes the first mirror it no longer exists for that ray. The reason you may need a hole in the first mirror is because there really will need to be a hole there, and you don't want rays reflecting from a part of the mirror that does not exist.

Best,

David
