Why is there no quick reference guide to Zemax, which would contain only key lists, such as of non-sequential and sequential objects, optimization operands, tolerance operands and ray tracing keys? For brevity, the descriptions in tables that are in the manual could be dropped, just a one sentence example of use and description of functionality retained. Some other frequently used info, like shortcuts etc., could also be added.



It is very inconvenient to scroll through the existing not very user-friendly manual trying to find the operand / object you need...

It is not always super intuitive to search in the help files but it contains all you need. I would recommend searching for topics as it should make your work more efficient:

You can also add some section of the help files in the Favourite tabs to find it more quickly.
