Dear Zemax Community,

I have a question and would be very thankful for an answer.

Is it possible to have a ZOS-API script be run whenever an MCE-operand is called? This way I could have configurations  with for example different beam waist sizes for POP or Paraxial Gaussian Beam Analysis. Something that is not possible in native Zemax yet (as far as I know).

It would be a very useful and versatile functionality if it is not implemented yet.

With kind regards,

gneplyakh

Hi Gneplyakh,

I don’t think you can have user-defined Multi-Configuration operands. However, it is possible to change configurations from within the ZOS-API. Can you clarify what you want to achieve, I think it should be possible with the ZOS-API.

Take care,

David
