Hi all,

I am trying to model a hologram to analyze its diffraction efficiency in Zemax. However, I am curious how to seperately set up the polarization state of the object and reference beam, for example, one is s-polarized, the other one is circularly polarized?

Thanks,

Kaden

Hi Ztystar,

I don’t know why you would like to go for such a different polarization but the only thing that comes to mind is using a OFH. Since you have to create two separate files in order to create a OFH you could set different polarisation states for each ones and combine them later.

I have never done it in the way ask so I wouldn’t know if the results allow you to retrieve the DE correctly but I think it’s worth a shot.

Hope this helps.

Jorge.
