Does OpticStudio just use the refractive index and dispersion, or the full dispersion data?

OpticStudio always uses the full dispersion data. The refractive index, Abbe number, and partial dispersion are reported for reference purposes. If you would rather see the full plot of index vs. wavelength, you can use the Dispersion Diagram feature. Under Libraries...Material Analyses…Dispersion Diagram you can graph the index of refraction as a function of wavelength for up to 4 glasses over a specified range.
