Question

Crash of a non-sequential system with diffractive DLL

Hello All,

I am trying to simulate a non-sequential system with diffractive optics. Due to the unique optical properties, I have to compile a new user-defined DLL (a diffractive grating with RCWA) under the instruction of the website (Thank you!).

Everything works well until I try to trace the ray. As shown in figure1, I can edit the object and plot the layout. However, when the ray is set to be larger than 0, the software will immediately stop and then automatically crash.

Therefore, I was wondering are there any possible reasons for this issue? What is the usual solution?

Thank you!
