Hi all, I am only 2 months in to learning Optic Studio so maybe this is a lack of my understanding instead of the program behaving weird.

Attached is the .zmx and .zda files in question for reference.

Essentially, I have a number of OAPs that are collecting and down-collimating an initial flat-top laser beam that has been focused to a target. In my process of designing the system, I have been checking the focal spot and wave front using ray optics as each optic is added. When I was double checking a previous leg of the system, I noticed one of the “Dummy” surfaces had drastically changed.

Above is a spot diagram showing surface 10 “Dummy” perfect focusing for ray optics. But, when I change the Tilt About X on surface 16, it changes the spot diagram for surface 10 by shifting it from the center.  Below shows the effect.

0.001 degree tilt on surface 16

1 degree tilt on surface 16

I am at a loss how changing surface 16’s tilt would affect surface 10.

Please help me understand what is going on and how I should fix it.
