Hi ,

I tried to design a simple bi-vex lens with a curvature ratio of 6:1. I used CVVA, CVGT, CVLT and ABSO operands, but I couldn't match the desired 6:1 curvature ratio. Could you please guide me on how to achieve this specific curvature ratio using these lens design techniques?

I attached the design as well.

Thank you

Couldn’t you use a pickup on the radius of the second surface, to pick up from the first times a scaling factor?

the file attached is a .zda

As Mark said, you can use a pickup on the rear face radius to scale the value from the front face:

Note that When using a curvature pickup solve and targeting another surface's Radius in Lens Data Editor, the Scale Factor is applied to the curvature, not the radius of curvature. For example, if the targeted radius is 2 and the Scale Factor in the curvature pickup solve is 0.5, the calculated value shown in the Lens Data Editor will be 1/((1/2)*0.5) = 4.
