To control the narcissus in the system, need to know the YNI and I/I’ values of each surface and to be controlled to make a better system. Is there any macro available for getting the values of YNI and I/I' for each surfaces and use in the merit function. For YNI, we have YNIP operand but for I/I' is there any operand directly
Without definitions it is not exactly clear to me what those letters mean.
If I and I’ are angles of incidence and exitance of the marginal ray. Then, you could use RAID (real ray angle of incidence) and RAED (real ray angle of exitance), respectively, and combine them with DIVI (division of two operands). While those are for real rays and would give you the real marginal ray angle of incidence (Py=1.0), it should be possible, albeit slightly more complex, to compute the paraxial marginal ray angle of incidence by using the scalar product of the ray direction cosine (PARA, PARB, and PARC) with the surface normal (PANA, PANB, and PANC).
In general, I would try to stick with built-in operands to reduce computational overhead from user-defined operands.
Let me know if this helps and take care,
David
