I recently upgraded to version 21.1.2 and started getting this error when I am trying to run the code I had no issued runnign previously. Is there a new licensing model in place?
Hello Anton,
Could you please run C:\Program Files\Zemax OpticStudio\OpticStudio_Prerequisites.exe then try again to see if you stil get error? This will reinstall licensing runtime to ensure that there is no problem come from license side.
If you still have issue after running prerequisites, please send the screenshots of any error message you see to help us clerfy the problem.

Hi Paulie,
I am trying to use zemax interactive extension with Python Jupyter notebook, When i run the code on IDE, i get an error “License is not valid for ZOSAPI use”, You can see it on the screen shot. I am using zemax OS student license. Other Standalone Aplication sample codes are working properly without any problem.

Thanks a lot

Did you make sure to click Programming..Interactive Extension in OpticStudio before running your interactive extension (as shown below)?
Take care,
David
