I have a question for detector in non-sequential mode. We often use ‘nit’ to evalute the display system, but I did not find how to change the unit to ‘nit’ for detector in non-sequential mode like LightTools did, so is there anyway that it can be directly displayed in Zemax or we have to export the data from Zemax and do some conversion?

+1Nit is a unit of Luminance (Nit = cd/m^2 = lumen/[sr m^2] ), so to get this at a detector in non-sequential you will need to go to your system explorer > Units. Set source units to Lumens and analysis units to Lumens per M^2.

In your detector viewer settings you should now be able to choose Luminance (position space) as an option under “Show Data”
Now your detectors will show Nits as Lumens / M^2 / Steradian, which is equivalent. No other conversion necessary.
I would refrain from using the Luminance/Radiance detector (position space) as it is.
It is just plotting the Incoherent Illuminance/Irradiance divided by 2PI, which is incorrect in almost all cases.
