Hi,

I would like to simulate a car headlamps (several types) with OpticsStudio. I need to use exists illumination models (and not write it by myself, because I don't have any access to the technical information of real headlights.

How can I achieve these models?

Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan,

If you want to run a projection lens design and simulation, OpticStudio is a perfect tool. but if some complex structure rather than lens/prism only, for example if many CAD parts included, take a look at on Speos. It’s  mainly developed on vehicles application like headlamp etc.

Hi, Thank you!
do you know if there is data base of optical designs, like ZEBASE for this kind of illumination sources?

also data base of SPEOS can be taken in account

Thanks

Dan

HI Dan,

I am not sure if there is an opened database for Speos. Most of resource on Speos had  been posted on Ansys.com website:

https://www.ansys.com/simulation-topics/what-is-automotive-exterior-lighting
And you may register an ACCS account (Ansys Customer Support Space) to check if there is many more resource,
