Truncated Spherical Lens: How to model ?


Is it possible to truncate the top/bottom of a spherical lens in Zemax?

For example. I would like cut the top/bottom part of a spherical lens to produce a rectangular spherical lens as shown below.

Hi,

 

You can do it with User Defined Aperture (.UDA). See p. 433 in the help pdf file.

Your file should look something like that:

 

LIN -0.8 0.6
LIN 0.8 0.6
ARC 0 0 73.739 30
LIN 0.8 -0.6
LIN -0.8 -0.6
ARC 0 0 73.739  30
BRK
