I want to perform thermal/structural analysis of the Prism optical system. So, I used Ansys Zemax STAR and proceeded with the following workflow.
However, an error occurs. So I ask for help from everyone reading this.

1. Prism was designed using Ansys Zemax.
2. Shape deformation and thermal analysis of the prism were performed in Ansys Mechanical.
3. The Export Lens DATA process was performed on thermal analysis data in Ansys Mechanical using ACT.
4. Thermal analysis data was entered using Ansys Zemax STAR’s Load DATA.
5. But an error occurs.
6. The error text is as follows:

Hi @Seyoung Kim,

Thanks for posting here in the STAR Group of the Forum.

May I ask which version of Ansys Zemax OpticStudio you are using? The reason why this error message occurs is because you probably do not have enough thermal coefficients applied to the material to which you want to assign the thermal FEA Dataset:

  • What material do you have applied to Surface 3 in your system?

Have a good day and speak to you soon,
