1 Service Pack 20.2.2 - Bug Fixes

1.1 OpticsBuilder for Creo

OpticsBuilder for Creo Parametric now includes the following bug fixes:

  • In the detector viewer, the image ratio on the detector is now being preserved.
  • The OpticsBuilder for Creo samples folder is now automatically installing to the Documents > Zemax folder if OpticStudio or OpticsBuilder for SOLIDWORKS were already installed on the same machine.
  • Generate Report improvements:
    • Some of the path data no longer shifts to additional columns
    • “Print” button is not absent after opening a saved OpticsBuilder system
  • In systems with slides, the first simulation now runs with precision settings that match the settings value and not the highest quality regardless of the system settings, speeding up your simulation time.
  • Support for “Rays Ignore Object” flag is now implemented.
  • Generate lens drawing improvements:
    • Drawings with cemented objects were showing a difference in significant digits between the middle column and the outside columns of the ISO 10110 table
    • Different font sizes were showing in the ISO 10110 table
  • The boundary rays update their position when an optical sub-assembly was inserted into an existing assembly that contained mechanical parts.
  • Update tool improvements:
    • Update .ZBD file was showing a regeneration error on a system with an updated optomechanical component.
    • When updating with a lens that has a larger outside diameter, the regeneration no longer fails.

1.2 OpticsBuilder for SOLIDWORKS

OpticsBuilder for SOLIDWORKS now includes the following bug fixes:

  • In the detector viewer, the image ratio on the detector is now being preserved.
  • The OpticsBuilder for SOLIDWORKS samples folder is now automatically installing to the Documents > Zemax folder if OpticStudio or OpticsBuilder for Creo were already installed on the same machine.
  • Support now added for OpticsBuilder assemblies inserted into the second subassembly or lower
  • A fix has been implemented to prevent some user’s security software from interfering with the product functionality.
  • Update tool improvements:
    • An unrelated feature would remain in the model tree after updating the .ZBD file.
    • Boundary rays would disappear after updating .ZBD file with the same .ZBD file
    • Simulation rays no longer trace through suppressed mechanical components.
    • When updating with a lens that has a larger outside diameter, the regeneration no longer fails.
  • Support for “Rays Ignore Object” flag is now implemented.
  • Added 4k monitor support for the “Generate Reference Geometry” button
  • If a mechanical component is removed from the included components list, its surfaces no longer remain in the “Apply surface properties” dialog window.
