Checking out new Ansys OS license

Hello,

We are using the new Ansys style OS licenses and I have a license ‘checked out’, but it still gives me the ‘no OS license found’ error if I change networks. For example, if I move from a wired connection to WiFi, it will tell me I don’t have a OS license and close my windows.

Am I checking out the license wrong?

Thanks,

Kaleb

Hello!

Most likely it grabbed the network license first when starting up. After borrowing, disconnect from the network  and start OpticStudio. Then it will use te “local” borrowed license instead.

Ok. thanks Don.

Is there any way to set a ‘default’ license like on the old Zemax license manager?

Sorry there isn’t a default / license selection option. It wiull use whichever it finds first.
