I am simulating an interferometer. In order to study the interferometer pattern under different conditions (ie. mirrors position) I have to simulate the entire optical system and it is time consuming.

Since the firsts segments of the simulated optical system are constant, I would like to use .sdf files and avoid to re-simulate the firsts segments everytime.

I tried to implement that, I have been able to save the rays and reuse them in an intermediate optical element of the system. The information of the rays position and  direction is saved and can be used. However, the phase information (or optical path) is not there.

Is there any option to save and use the phase information associated to each simulated ray?
